A simple spray-and-wipe finish for your car-care routine
Freshen up your vehicle's appearance with this Shine Armor 500ml ceramic car coating spray. Designed for straightforward spray-and-wipe application, it is described as helping improve paint gloss, water beading and ease of cleaning.
Available from Technsave for NZ$21.99, with an included towel, New Zealand-held stock, Auckland dispatch and free standard NZ shipping.
Gloss and water beading without paste-wax application
The spray format makes it easy to work in small sections rather than spreading a traditional paste wax. The existing specification describes a polysiloxane-based coating intended to leave a water-repellent finish on suitable vehicle paint.
Water beading can make routine maintenance more convenient, but it does not make a vehicle self-cleaning. Continue washing regularly and remove bird droppings, tree sap, salt deposits and road contamination promptly using appropriate car-care methods.
A practical addition to Kiwi vehicle care
- Daily drivers and utes: add a spray-and-wipe finishing step after cleaning compatible painted panels.
- Family hatchbacks and SUVs: maintain paint appearance with manageable, panel-by-panel application.
- Weekend car enthusiasts: keep a compact bottle and towel available for your regular detailing routine.
- Motorcycle owners: use only on painted surfaces explicitly permitted by the label. Keep away from tyres, brakes, seats and control surfaces.
This spray is not a substitute for paint repair, polishing away defects or professional coating work. No verified protection duration, UV rating or scratch-resistance test is supplied.
Simple application, with surface checks first
Follow the bottle label and supplied instructions, particularly any drying or curing requirements. Application time depends on vehicle size, surface condition and preparation.
- Clean and prepare: wash the vehicle and prepare the surface as directed. Work on a cool panel out of direct sunlight. Test a small, inconspicuous area first.
- Apply sparingly: turn the nozzle to its spray position and apply to one small, compatible section at a time, following the label.
- Wipe and finish: wipe or buff with a clean, soft detailing cloth as directed. Follow any specified cure time before exposing the surface to water. Close the nozzle after use.
Do not assume suitability for windscreens, exterior glass, headlights, unpainted plastic, rubber trim, alloy wheels, matte finishes, vehicle wraps or marine gelcoat. Confirm those uses on the product label before applying.
